May Favorites

Hey lovelies,

As we just finished the month of May, I know it is already the 6th but I thought I would let you all know what I loved during the month of May. I will be informing you about my favourite beauty products, jewellery, clothing items and more. I will also inform you on where I purchased them and a little bit about why I love them. So I hope you enjoy.

To make sure this post has some sort of order to it I will put my favourites into categories for your convenience.

Beauty related products:

  • My first favourite beauty product would have to be my mecca tinted moisturiser  , which I previously did a review on.  If you would like to read more about this product please go check it out.
  • Another beauty item that features in my favourites would be the They’re real mascara by benefit. I absolutely love this mascara as it doesn’t clump, it has an easily applicator, great price and creates a long lash look. I purchased this in a travel size to take away with me.
  • One of my other favourite Mecca Cosmetica products is their new nude lip de-luscious, containing SPF25, it also has a gorgeous colour, packaging and flavour.

Clothing Items:

  • My favourite clothing item of the month would be my denim jacket. This is easily  paired with any outfit, casual but can be dressed up or down for personal taste or occasion. This has also kept me warm to a certain extent but if you are looking for a jacket that looks great I highly recommend purchasing this from Bardot.
  • The shoes I keep reaching for are my black booties that are extremely comfortable but have  height, they’re stylish and easily paired with any outfit. I absolutely love these and would have to say they are my favourite shoes I have ever purchased.

Jewellery:

  • One of my absolute favourite jewellery items would be my most precious tiffany necklace. It is the traditional heart shaped and I absolutely love it. I don’t have much to say except for I will treasure it forever.
  • Another favourite piece I consistently wear would be my  black and rose gold watch. It is a play, off of the ‘horse watch’ but it was a reasonable price. This is my favourite watch and I hope it lasts cause I am relying on it.

Other:

  • Another favourite thing of mine is my glasshouse candle in the fragrance Tahaa, vanilla caramel. Oh, I only wish you could smell this, it smells like heaven.

Hello, Lovelies I thought I should post something that will be quick and easy to read but will allow you to learn more about myself and what I am currently enjoying amongst other things. I did a post similar to this in April but I thought I should update it as we are now in May and I am enjoying other things in life. So I hope you enjoy and have a lovely week.

Learning + How to blog and new skills in writing and photography. I am also having tennis lessons and learning how to play tennis which I am loving.

Enjoying + the cold winter months as I get to cuddle up and be warm and cozy.

Turn That Frown Upside Down!

Hey lovelies, I thought I would give you 8 technics on how to be a happier person. If this advice is used correctly and consistently this will make a great impact on your overall wellbeing. So I hope you all enjoy and gain something to help you during everyday life.

Exercising has been researched and studies show, exercise has a positive impact on your mood. It has been proven that physical activity stimulates the release of “feel-good” emotions in the brain, a chemical called endorphins in released. Some researchers argue that exercise acts as a diversion from negative thoughts creating for a more positive attitude. So go for a run.

Another great way to become a happier person is to gain more sleep . As we all should know sleep helps our bodies recover from the day and prepare for the next. We also know that it helps us focus and be more productive, it turns out it is as important and makes a huge impact on our happiness. When you’re sleeping your healing due to the pulse of your heart decreasing in speed.

Meditation is another great way to gain happiness as this helps you stay grounded, motivated, energetic and helps you stay focused. It also helps clear your brain.  It is scientifically proven to help heal humans. If you are in pain or unhappy you have to heal yourself. If you want to see results mentally, emotionally  you have to do this consistently, keeps your energy clear and your mind clear.

Understanding that happiness is a choice is a key element to your wellbeing. Happiness is a choice of attitude, so you need to wake up and decide whether you would like to happy or miserable all day. Your negative thoughts poison your attitude and you need to realise that you are maybe unhappy  because of the choices you have made. It’s up to you to shift your negative attitude into a positive and grateful one.

Surrounding yourself with happy people is crucial. Spending time with people that love and care for you and  make you feel good about yourself. If you are surrounded by  negative or unhappy people whether you want to admit it or not  they will eventually bring you down and their attitude towards life will rub off on you and your attitude.

Eliminating negativity. Being around negative attitude/s can make a huge influence on your attitude so it’s best to eliminate the negative energy from your life. This may be difficult but you will notice a significant difference to your overall mental happiness.

Treating yourself once in a while is good. Every now and then you need a little TLC (tender loving care) whether it may be running yourself a bath and throwing in a bath bomb, or lighting some candles, you can also take this time to give your skin some extra care like putting on a face mask. Bring yourself back down, bring yourself together and get over your stress , a great way to get away from everything and clear your mind.

Overall reflecting on the positive things in life is the best way to ensure for mental happiness, focusing on the negatives can make for a negative attitude. So remember to be grateful for everything in life as you never know when it might end and some people aren’t as fortunate as us.

Welcome

Hey everyone and welcome to my new blog SomethingNew. This blog is going to be a mix of fashion, beauty, food and a few other bits and bobs. I have always had a passion for photography and writing so I thought why not combine my passions and do something new ( hint my blog name ). I am starting this blog as a new hobby that I will hopefully carry on for years to come. I have an aspiration to one day achieve great things and be able to share my knowledge with other people, saying that I know that is not going to happen overnight but it is a dream for the future that I can slowly make my way towards.
