May Favorites

Hey lovelies,

As we just finished the month of May, I know it is already the 6th but I thought I would let you all know what I loved during the month of May. I will be informing you about my favourite beauty products, jewellery, clothing items and more. I will also inform you on where I purchased them and a little bit about why I love them. So I hope you enjoy.

To make sure this post has some sort of order to it I will put my favourites into categories for your convenience.

Beauty related products:

  • My first favourite beauty product would have to be my mecca tinted moisturiser  , which I previously did a review on.  If you would like to read more about this product please go check it out.
  • Another beauty item that features in my favourites would be the They’re real mascara by benefit. I absolutely love this mascara as it doesn’t clump, it has an easily applicator, great price and creates a long lash look. I purchased this in a travel size to take away with me.
  • One of my other favourite Mecca Cosmetica products is their new nude lip de-luscious, containing SPF25, it also has a gorgeous colour, packaging and flavour.

Clothing Items:

  • My favourite clothing item of the month would be my denim jacket. This is easily  paired with any outfit, casual but can be dressed up or down for personal taste or occasion. This has also kept me warm to a certain extent but if you are looking for a jacket that looks great I highly recommend purchasing this from Bardot.
  • The shoes I keep reaching for are my black booties that are extremely comfortable but have  height, they’re stylish and easily paired with any outfit. I absolutely love these and would have to say they are my favourite shoes I have ever purchased.

  • One of my absolute favourite jewellery items would be my most precious tiffany necklace. It is the traditional heart shaped and I absolutely love it. I don’t have much to say except for I will treasure it forever.
  • Another favourite piece I consistently wear would be my  black and rose gold watch. It is a play, off of the ‘horse watch’ but it was a reasonable price. This is my favourite watch and I hope it lasts cause I am relying on it.

  • Another favourite thing of mine is my glasshouse candle in the fragrance Tahaa, vanilla caramel. Oh, I only wish you could smell this, it smells like heaven.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and have a lovely week.

Lots of love,

Hey lovelies,

Today I thought I would try something new and do a baking blog. This slice is absolutely delicious, quick and easy and all the ingredients are easily accessible and are common ingredients I’m sure you have in your pantry. Let me know what you think and if you would like to see more baking blogs. I hope you enjoy.

  • 125g butter
  • 395g tinned condensed milk
  • 4 heaped tablespoons of Milo
  • 4 cups of rice bubbles
  • 2 cups of Maltesers – 1 cup goes into the base mix and the other cup is for the topping (have extra on hand for decoration)
  • 300g of dark/milk /white  chocolate (of you choice)

1) Line a 20 x 20cm cake tin with non-stick baking paper

2) Over a medium heat, melt together the butter, condensed milk and 2 of the heaped tablespoons of Milo , stir continuously and remove from stove once ingredients are combined.

3) Place Rice Bubbles, additional 2 heaped tablespoons of Milo and 1 cup of Maltesers into a large bowl and gently combine together. I recommend chopping the Maltesers into halves.

4) Pour condensed milk mixture over Rice Bubbles mixture and stir until combined. Transfer to lined tin and flatten the top with a spatula until the surface is even. Place in the fridge.

5) Melt your choice of chocolate and optional coconut oil together in the microwave in 10-second bursts or until combined. Stir in between each 10 seconds. This should take a total of 30 seconds depending on your microwave.

6) Reserve some whole Maltesers and place others in a blender for quicker results or beat them with a rolling pin.

7) Pour melted chocolate / coconut oil mixture over the top of the Rice Bubble base and place  Maltesers on top evenly as shown in the photos below. Scatter the crushed Maltesers on top for another element.

8) Refrigerate to set, remove 10 minutes before serving for an easy cut. Make sure to use a sharp knife.

Say goodbye to cracked lips

Hey lovelies,

Sorry, I haven’t been active, lately, I have been bombarded with masses amounts of homework and school work, I have also been really busy with other commitments but here I am. Today I thought I would do something new and give you a DIY lip scrub, I really enjoyed creating this blog post and I hope you enjoy it too. Please like or comment if you would be interested in seeing more DIYs in the future. Please Enjoy and send me or tag me in pictures if you recreate these lip scrubs.

For this blog post, I thought I would make two lip scrubs as we are coming into winter in Australia and our lips are starting to crack and dry up. Here are the two DIYs. Enjoy

Lip Scrub 1.

  • 1 Tablespoon of granulated sugar or caster sugar
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 – 2 drop of food colouring or until your desired colour
  • 1 drop of an essential oil of your choice (I chose peppermint)

  1. Combine the sugar and olive oil in a small bowl
  2. Add your food colouring and essential oil
  3. Combine mixture together until the colouring and scent is evenly distributed
  4. place lip scrub into a small container of your choice and use when needed
  5. enjoy

  1. when choosing your colour, keep in mind that it may temporarily stain your lips so choose something nice and neutral or lip coloured.
  2. make sure to mix in the food colouring until there is no white sugar left for a even colour

Lip scrub 2.

  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • drizzle of honey (optional)
  • essential oil or preferred scent
  • choice of food colouring (optional)

  • If needed lightly melt the coconut oil
  • mix the brown sugar into the coconut oil
  • add a drizzle of honey (if wanted)
  • after combining add desired scent and colour
  • transfer mixture into a small container and enjoy
